Tenure for the Common Good, an organization that “seeks to rally tenured faculty to use their tenured positions to fight for justice on their own campuses and nationally,” has posted a “Statement on Equity and COVID-19.” Seth Kahn posted the document to the WPA-Listserv earlier today, and it seems like a useful document to think through.  I’m particularly interested in the ideas the document puts forward for supporting contingent faculty while social distancing.  I’ve tried to help faculty teach within the confines of their existing contracts when moving online, but this gives some other options that are worth thinking on.
